Leí que vas a hacer una campaña de crowdfunding para este nuevo álbum. ¿En qué consiste este crowdfunding?.
Sí, acabamos de lanzar la campaña el 1 de marzo y ha ido muy bien. Creímos que podemos hacer esto junto con nuestros fans. ¡El negocio más transparente y justo que puedas hacer!.
Estamos ofreciendo un tema llamado “Forest Package” a través de la plataforma de crowdfunding de Indiegogo que incluye nuestro nuevo álbum «The Forest Seasons» con el mejor formato de calidad de sonido posible, pistas aisladas del nuevo álbum, versión instrumental del nuevo álbum, remasters del autotitulado álbum con la intro nunca oído, remaster de “Time I”, álbum en directo del Tuska festival del 2013 y una versión acústica de la nueva canción del álbum llamada “Loneliless”. Este es un paquete grande y justo!.
I read that you are going to make a crowdfunding campaign for this new album. ¿What will this crowdfunding consist in?.
Yeah we just released the campaign on the 1st of March and it has been going great. We believed we can do this together with our fans. The most transparent and fair business you can actually!
We are offering an item called “Forest Package”via Indiegogo crowdfunding platform which includes our new album “The Forest Seasons” with the best possible sound quality format, isolated tracks of the new album, instrumental version of the new album, remasters of the self-titled album with never heard intro, remaster of Time I, live album from Tuska festival 2013 and an acoustic version of the new album song called “Loneliness”. This is a big and fair package!.
Había visto que queréis este dinero para un nuevo estudio de grabación. ¿Qué tendrá este nuevo estudio?.
Sí, esta es la mejor solución de tiempo y dinero mejor gastado y aprovechado. No podemos permitirnos estudios de terceros muy caros con un proyecto masivo y cinematográfico como “Time II”, por lo que nuestro propio estudio es la manera de lanzar futuros álbumes de Wintersun más rápido y con nuestra verdadera visión.
I had seen that you want to recapture for a new recording studio. ¿What will your new recording studio will have?.
Yes, this is the best solution time and money wise. We cannot afford highly expensive 3rd party studios with massive and cinematic project such as “Time II” would be, so our own studio is the way to release future Wintersun albums faster and with our true vision.
¿Por qué tanto tiempo entre vuestro anterior álbum y este nuevo disco?.
Se necesita tiempo para llegar a los mejores resultados posibles. Wintersun es una banda que quiere sacar los mejores álbumes posibles en lugar de hacer compromisos desafortunados y sacar al Mercado algo inacabado por así decirlo. Calidad sobre cantidad.
¿Why how much time your previous album and this new album?.
It takes time to come up with the best possible outcome. Wintersun is a band that wants to put out the best possible albums rather than making unfortunate compromises and release something unfinished so to say. Quality over quantity.
Todos los fans estaban esperando la segunda parte del álbum «Time». ¿Por qué este cambio de planes?
Queremos salir finalmente de esta desafortunada situación, que llevamos tanto tiempo que no tenemos suficientes recursos para hacer “Time II” como debe sonar. Es un proyecto masivo y cinematográfico que necesita un estudio profesional sin costar inmensamente como un estudio de terceros. Invertir en nuestro propio estudio es el mejor escenario aquí, así podemos hacer Time II como debería ser. Tuvimos que hacer un desafortunado compromiso con Time I que suena bastante bien, pero es el 60% de la visión que teníamos. No podemos hacer más con los recursos actuales.
All the people were waiting that you take up the second part of the album “Time”. ¿Why this change of plans?.
We want to finally get out from this unfortunate situation we have been so long that we do not have enough resources to make Time II what is should sound like. It’s a massive and cinematic project that needs a pro studio without costing immensely like a 3rd party studios. Investing in our own studio is the best scenario here, thus we can make Time II how it should be. We had to make an unfortunate compromises on Time I already. It sounds alright, but it’s 60% of the vision we had. Couldn’t do more with the current resources.
¿Cuando podremos escuchar algo de la segunda parte del «Time»?.
Nuestro plan es sacarlo cuando tengamos los recursos adecuados para ello. Es por eso que estamos haciendo el crowdfunding en este momento. Un trato justo para comprar un paquete enorme por menos de la mitad de lo que vale, creemos que vale la pena. Algo realmente especial para nuestros queridos fans. De esta manera podemos estar más cerca de por fin sacar de una vez de Time II !.
¿For when we will can listen the second part of “Time”?.
Our plan is to release it when we have the proper resources for it. That’s why we are doing the crowdfunding at the moment. A fair deal to buy a huge package for less than half what it is worth for real. Something truly special for our dearest fans. This way we can reach closer to the release of Time II as well!.
Este nuevo álbum está formado por canciones de las «Cuatro Estaciones» de Vivaldi. ¿Es él una influencia muy grande para la música de Wintersun?.
La inspiración es básicamente las cuatro estaciones reales – primavera, verano, otoño e invierno. Musicalmente no hay semejanza o conexión con Vivaldi. Vivaldi tiene buena música, pero este no es el caso de Wintersun. Nuestro nuevo álbum “The Forest Seasons” cuenta con cuatro canciones únicas para cada temporada, mientras que se fusionan muy bien a un álbum completo.
This new album is formed by songs of the “Four Seasons” of Vivaldi. ¿Is him a very big influence for the music of Wintersun?.
The inspiration is basically the four actual seasons – spring, summer, autumn and winter. Musically there is no similarity or connection to Vivaldi. Vivaldi has great music indeed, but this is not the case with Wintersun. Our new album The Forest Seasons features four unique songs for each season while merging together nicely to a full album.
¿Cuando podremos escuchar algo de «The Forest Seasons»?.
En este momento puedes escuchar muestras del nuevo álbum en el sitio web de Indiegogo donde está funcionando nuestro crowdfunding. También comenzamos un documental de varios episodios sobre cómo hacer el album, donde se puede escuchar aún más música del nuevo disco. La fecha estimada de lanzamiento será julio.
¿For when we will can listen something of “ The Forest Seasons”?.
At the moment you can hear samples of the new album at Indiegogo website where our crowdfunding is running. We also start a multi episode documentary about making the album where you can hear even more music of the new album. Estimated release date will be July.
Finlandia esta considerada actualmente como el país del Heavy Metal. ¿La escena del Heavy Metal es tan grande como parece fuera de vuestras fronteras?.
Sí, Finlandia tiene una gran escena de Heavy Metal, aunque el país en sí es muy pequeño. Tenemos mucha energía bombástica en la gente, supongo que ya que estamos más hacia la música de gran altura. ¡Es muy común que haya bandas de metal en las listas de música finlandesa casi todas las semanas! Es genial que a la gente le guste la buena música.
Finland is considered actually the country of the Heavy Metal. ¿The Heavy Metal scene is as big as out of frontiers we can see?.
Yeah Finland has a big heavy metal scene indeed although the country itself is quite small. We have a lot of bombastic energy in people I guess since we are more towards the blasting music. It is very common that there are metal bands in Finnish music charts almost every week! Great that people like good music.
¿Qué bandas finlandesas me recomendarías?
Hay tantas grandes bandas, así que esto es muy difícil. Bueno, las bandas pasadas y presentes: Wintersun (haha), Swallow the Sun, Ensiferum, Insomnium, Finntroll, Oranssi Pazuzu, Babylon Whores, Norther, Wolfheart, Shade Empire, Lie in Ruins … ¡y muchas más!.
¿Which Finland bands do you recommend me?.
There are so many great bands, so this is a hard one. Well, past and present bands: Wintersun (haha), Swallow the Sun, Ensiferum, Insomnium, Finntroll, Oranssi Pazuzu, Babylon Whores, Norther, Wolfheart, Shade Empire, Lie in Ruins … and so many more!.
En 2014 estabais anunciados para tocar en el Festival Leyendas Del Rock, pero finalmente no tocasteis, ¿ qué fue lo que pasó?
Había algunos problemas familiares personales que necesitábamos solucionar, y tuvimos que descartar ciertos shows ese año.
In 2014 you had to go to Leyendas Del Rock Festival but you finally you didn’t play there what pass?.
There were some personal family issues that we needed to pass certain shows back then..
¿Habrá un «Forest Seasons Tour 2017»? Si es sí, vendrá aquí a España?
Actualmente estamos cerrando muchos conciertos. Ya hay un montón de festivales de verano, pero también estamos buscando tour por supuesto con el nuevo disco. Así que necesitamos ver lo que sucederá, pero iremos más pronto o más tarde!
¿Will be a “Forest Seasons Tour 2017”? If is yes you will come here to Spain?.
At the moment we are currently booking more shows. There is already a bunch of summer festivals but we are looking also to tour of course with the new album. So we need to see what will happen sooner and later!.
Esperamos que tengáis toda la suerte que os merecéis y Wintersun llegue a ser un grande del Heavy Metal.
Deseamos lo mejor para todos también. Vamos a ver qué va a pasar, nos encanta hacer nuestra música, por lo menos vamos a seguir haciendo eso!.
